統括インタビュー（日ASEAN学生会議2022）

今年の日ASEAN学生会議2022の統括を務める中村桃子、石曽根楽にインタビューを行いました。

中村桃子（9期・統括）

日ASEAN学生会議とはなんですか？

ー日本、ASEAN、東ティモールの１２カ国の学生による、多国間の学生会議です。日ASEANに共通する社会課題について学び、議論を交わすことで、将来を担う世代である私たち自身が、より良い未来について考える会議です。

統括のお二人はどんなお仕事を担当しているのですか？

ー大きく分けて2つ、外部の方々との交渉、およびMIS内部での監督・責任者という役割があります。日アセは日本の外務省のJENESYSプログラムの一環として開催されます。このため、外務省をはじめとした関係する外部の方々との交渉、調整は必要不可欠です。また、MIS内部では各分科会に仕事を振ったり、分科会運営が円滑に進むよう分科会長をサポートする役割を担っています。

学生会議を運営するMISのメンバーはどんな学生たちですか？

ー多様な活動に熱心な学生が集まっていると思います。大学での専門分野の多様性は年々増し、MIS以外にも幅広い活動に積極的に取り組んでいたり、専門外のことにも興味を持って学ぼうとする学生が多いと思います。

日アセの魅力を教えてください！

ー「ここでしか出会えない面白い人たち」だと思います。これは、運営側であるMISのメンバーも、日アセ参加者もどちらにも言えることだと思います。多様性に富むバックグラウンドを持つ学生が多様な理由で集うこの会議において、ただ一つ「日本とASEANの交流」に魅力を感じている、という点だけを共通して持っています。日アセに集まる人との出会いは想像以上に大きな刺激であり、ここから始まる人との繋がりはかけがえのないものだと思います。日アセに関わる全ての人にとって、今年の企画も面白い出会いに溢れる場所となることを願います。

日ASEAN学生会議とはなんですか？

ー東南アジア地域の学生を日本に招聘し、様々な社会問題をテーマに議論する会議です。国際機関や大学教授などの専門家の講義や学生自身が設計するワークショップに加え、日本各地のテーマに関連する活動を視察します。

統括のお二人はどんなお仕事を担当しているのですか？

ー日アセの各分科会のテーマ設計の補助や、日アセの企画の大枠の設計、協力機関との調整を担当しています。

学生会議を運営するMISのメンバーはどんな学生たちですか？

ー自身の分科会のテーマへの学習意欲が高く、メンバー間で連携して分科会運営をしてくれています。

日アセの魅力を教えてください！

ー多様なバックグラウンドをもつ東南アジアの人々、しかも同世代の学生と真剣に、かつ楽しみながら交流を行える点です。
