About the team
We are currently preparing to hold the “2nd Japan-ASEAN Youth Summit” in Kuala Lumpur in March 2026! Our work covers a wide range of activities, including negotiations with the Japanese government, program development, coordination with local organizations, and fundraising.
Our regular activities
We hold meetings online or in person on the evenings of the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
Project overview
The 1st Japan-ASEAN Youth Summit (JAYS 2025) was held in Jakarta. Its participants were 47 people selected from nine countries, Japan and ASEAN member states combined. Representatives from each country presented policy recommendations and held discussions on building the future of ASEAN and Japan together. The event was held under the auspices of the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the Government of Indonesia, in cooperation with JICA and companies.
We plan to develop the project further, with the goal of holding the 2nd Japan-ASEAN Youth Summit in Kuala Lumpur around late March 2026.
